About the Artist
Hello, I’m Robert E. Rodriguez, a contemporary abstract painter based in Palm Springs, California. I create original, large-scale artwork for residential, hospitality, and corporate interiors throughout the United States, specializing in custom commissions and site-specific pieces.
My work combines the bold geometry and visual clarity of Mid-Century Modern design with the raw energy of 1980s New York street art. Through high-contrast black-and-white compositions, graphic forms, and rhythmic movement, I create distinctive paintings that bring energy, balance, and personality to contemporary spaces.
I work with collectors, interior designers, and property owners seeking original artwork that makes a statement. Whether developing a custom piece or creating a work for an existing collection, I approach each project with an emphasis on composition, scale, and the relationship between the artwork and its surroundings.
My creative practice also extends into emerging technologies. I am exploring augmented reality as a way to introduce interactive experiences that expand the relationship between the viewer and the physical artwork.
My work has been featured in Season 2 of VH1’s The Pickup Artist and is available through Saatchi Art under the artist name SplashyArt.

About the Artist
Hello, I’m Robert E. Rodriguez, a modern abstract painter based in Palm Springs, California. I create original, large-scale works for residential, hospitality, and corporate spaces across the United States, with a focus on custom commissions and site-specific pieces.
My work is defined by bold, graphic compositions that draw influence from Mid-Century Modern design and 1980s New York street art. I specialize in high-contrast black-and-white abstractions that emphasize movement, rhythm, and spatial balance—designed to integrate seamlessly into contemporary interiors while making a strong visual statement.
I collaborate with interior designers, collectors, and property owners who are seeking original, statement-level artwork tailored to their environment. Each commission is developed through a process that prioritizes creative direction, scale, and context to ensure the final piece aligns with both the space and the client’s vision.
In addition to traditional canvas work, I am exploring the integration of augmented reality to expand how artwork can be experienced, adding an interactive dimension to physical pieces.
My work has been featured in Season 2 of VH1’s The Pickup Artist and is available on Saatchi Art under SplashyArt.

I’m reaching out to introduce myself as a Mid-Century Modern painter with a fresh twist. My work is bold, graphic, and thought-provoking, and I believe it would be a perfect fit for your home or office.
I specialize in distinctive black-and-white paintings reminiscent of 1980s New York City street art, but with a fresh twist—a zany, funky appeal inspired by music, flow, and movement. My work is designed to turn heads and spark conversation
I especially enjoy working with clients who are open to ambitious, high-concept pieces and have the freedom to invest in exceptional art. As an artist, I believe creative expression thrives without rigid constraints. My goal is always to deliver custom work that not only meets your vision but brings something truly striking and unique to your space.
I’m particularly interested in working with clients who value originality and have the freedom to think beyond traditional constraints. I believe true artistic expression shouldn’t be limited by budget or rigid expectations. My goal is to create striking custom works that elevate and transform your environment.
I’m also an innovative thinker, continually exploring ways to make art more immersive. I’m currently developing a project that incorporates augmented reality, allowing viewers to engage with my work in dynamic, interactive ways.
I’d love the opportunity to discuss your project in more detail. Feel free to contact me with any questions or to view more of my portfolio.
